Halmatic 30 'Kaliph'
After nine very enjoyable years sailing Kaliph the
time has come to move on -
she is now (February 2014) sold and gone to a good home.
Now that
we have retired (2005) we purchased a larger boat to
replace Pranzo.
She is 'Kaliph' a 30 foot Halmatic 30 (actually 29' 6")
with a beam of 9' 6" and draft of 4' 6", displacement 4.5
tons.

In 2008 we had a new Beta 20 engine fitted to replace the old Volvo. Kaliph goes much better under power now.
The atrocious weather this summer (2007) stopped a lot of
sailing. No sooner than Kaliph was in then it was time to
take her out again.

There was very little weed this year. Not in for long
enough!

At the beginning of October 2006 we went down to the
Medway for the weekend in company with Tim in Gigi. Tim
took all of these pictures. Thank you!
The Medway weekend was excellent though rather windy going
down it was lovely coming back next day.
