We now live in Bexley, Kent having moved from Northumberland Heath, Erith, Kent where we lived for the majority of our lives.

Alan drives a Honda HR-V (auto) and Pamela drives a Mercedes Benz C22 (auto)
Alan used to have a VW Motor Caravan (Richard Holdsworth Conversion).
It had much more space than a car and one could make a cup of coffee! See Car page for details of previous vehicles.
Alan has
successfully completed the Foundation Certificate
in Church Music Studies (Royal School of Church
Music) and also the CertRSCM and has now completed
studying at the University of Bangor (Sacred Music
Studies) for the DipRSCM.
Pam has completed her honours degree in Opera Studies with Rose Bruford College.
Alan has had Organ Lessons
with Catherine
Ennis at St. Lawrence Jewry in the City of
London having transferred after an excellent 10
years of study with Anne Marsden
Thomas at St. Giles Church, Cripplegate,
Barbican, London. He also plays the
recorder and is having clarinet and bassoon
lessons.
Pamela has studied the flute for a number of years and has passed Grade 8. She is at present learning the oboe and has passed Grade 5. Pam has also passed Grade 6 singing.

Alan attended BETHS
(Bexley Erith Technical High School for Boys) and
then became an Articled Clerk in a firm of
Chartered Accountants in the city. After working
for the firm which did the Audit of Woolwich
Polytechnic he was appointed Accountant. He was
Senior Accountant at the University of
Greenwich. He was recently involved in
installing the fifth Computerised Finance System
since the Universities founding in 1896. Now
Retired.
Pamela
attended Northumberland Heath Secondary School for
girls. After working with the Ford Motor Company and
a number of other organisations she worked for
Bexley Council.
Now Retired.
You will find Pam on Facebook and Alan on uk | LinkedIn .

Alan is a Producer and Lighting Director at Erith Playhouse. There are about twelve productions a year, each production runs from Monday to Saturday for a week at a time. The theatre is non-professional and of a very high standard. E-mail us if you would like a copy of the current production schedule. Pamela is lighting co-ordinator and regularly helps out on Sound. See the Hotlinks above.
YOUTH CENTRE
Alan was Chairman of the Management Committee of Northumberland Heath Youth Centre, one of seven Youth Centres in the London Borough of Bexley. Below are some drawings showing our proposed new Youth Centre. There is some exciting Youth Work being carried out in Northumberland Heath at present, including detached Youth Work and also the Princes Trust Volunteers. Unfortunately the Youth Service in Bexley is now going through a lean period.
ORGAN

Pam & Alan's previous church has recently had the Robert Spurden Rutt 2 Manual and Pedal, 4 rank extension Organ overhauled by Martin Cross of Grays in Essex. Included is a new two rank mixture. The organ has electric action and is over 60 years old. It should now be good for another 60 years. The instrument is unusual in that it is totally enclosed in two swell boxes. This has the advantage of keeping the pipework clean! I can send you a brochure about the Organ if you are interested.
Alan is now Organist and Choirmaster at St. Michael's Church, Wilmington, near Dartford and Pam sings in the Choir. We both play in the Music Group.
The Organ at Wilmington is dated 1912 and is a three manual and pedal instrument with pneumatic action by Norman & Beard.
WINE

We are both interested in Fine Wines. Our cellar is rather depleted at present due to the high price of Bordeaux Clarets. We like to drink Australian wines (Tyrrells), Riojas and Italian wines. We also like Vintage Port and German white wines especially for dessert - Auslesen and Trockenbeerenauslesen.
